In 1989, OSL founder, Beverly Graham, singer/songwriter/performer

prepared 30 organic lunches

and served them to hungry people on a street corner in Seattle.

OPERATION: Sack Lunch was born.

Over the past 22 years OSL has served more than 2.9 million meals

to the hungry and food insecure in the Seattle area; 3 meals a day, 7 days a week.

Born of the desire to contribute to the good stuff of the planet

and supported by funds earned through musical skill, performance, and CD sales;

one performing artist has made a difference

in the lives of thousands of individuals.

We believe that if one artist can help change the lives of so many,

a gathering of artists can transform the world.

Our vision is too extend the borders...

reach beyond...

re-define "local" and "neighborhood".

Our dream is to end hunger in our life time...

Our hope is that you will join us...

Hungry, will sing for food
